vintage french ivory monogrammed vanity box

quite a lovely french ivory box with
two interior compartments

in great shape, the box has an intense royal blue scrolled monogram on the top
with what I think are the initials:

MMG
(such intense script, it is hard to read)

size:
2.5" x 4"

Note:
it appears that at one time it had a hinged lid but the hinge is now gone, no damage to the box.
